“Breaking the conventions” by Photography Skills Cross-graded
While on work break now in December 2017 I decided to do a little animal photography. While doing this form of photography I naturally applied without a thought various lessons learnt in other forms of photography. Every aspect of my photography style and ability has been proving Photography Skills Cross-graded.
When I started doing the post processing on these photos, I realized just how much of an influence other forms of my photography have influenced me.

Specific Style
I have over a period developed a specific style of photography. This style has been influenced by various training courses I attended. My style has also been influenced by some of my favorite photographers have produced.
The more I reflect on this the more I am in awe and extremely grateful for these various influences.

I Digress
But before I digress any further from the subject at hand, let us examine what has brought me to this articles subject.
I have done many forms of photography. But in all this the common message portrayed out there is that a general all rounder photographer cannot be able to become brilliant at any specific form of photography.

Even though I am not top at any form of photography, and reckon it could take my own lifetime to achieve it. I never the less do believe it is possible for many individuals to become multi-skilled.
I re-iterate this fact that I am an avid GuruShots participator, and have seen many extremely exceptional photos while voting for good photos. This makes me feel that it will take a very long while for me to get even close to plenty of them.

Studio work has helped me understand lighting in an amazing way. Doing studio lights in sport has helped me understand how to capture the peek in a specific sport by understanding the sport as the strobes do not allow for rapid fire.

General
Of primary importance is to know my equipment inside and out. Also for me to know composition very well. Practice as much as I can, don’t hold myself back.

All this has led me to believe that the typical restrictive nature of what others say is a lot of nonsense and that we can do anything we put our minds to.
For the future I really want to continue to break the norm and become more outrageous with my photography.
