In recent times we were very privileged to capture the baby shower of Bernadette Cooney at the lovely venue called Hamilton Guest House Venue. This venue is ideally suited for a number of photo opportunities by us photographers.

Hamilton Guest House Venue

We found the venue has beautiful grounds with water features. It also had a small bridge and lovely gardens. The area that we were to shoot most of our photos in had lovely large windows and large window doors to the outside grounds.

The grounds were well-kept and had no ugly obstructions as we looked around.

When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly staff, who were very helpful. We then met the absolutely bubbly mother to be and her mother. I knew immediately that this event was going to be an absolute pleasure to capture.

Setting Up

We immediately setup our strobes for indoors photographic coverage. Our cameras were then setup (dialing down to -2 Ev). As well as our strobe settings were set to allow for not blowing out the outdoors aspect to the venue from taking indoor photos.

We found the décor was very well laid out for a baby shower. The tables were exquisitely laid out for a lovely high-end look for our clients. On inspection we found them using cloth type towels, multi course meal layouts etc.

I was immediately impressed with everything.

The permanent décor was also well fitting to the rest of the décor. We would easily recommend this venue for many other functions to anybody.

Baby Shower

Our client Bernadette gave such a lovely speech that most of the guests were moved by it.

Our client then started opening each gift. The way that she examined each and every item made us so proud. Therefore having the opportunity to permanently capture these moments for us was amazing.

During the gift opening time the battery on one of the strobes went flat. I quietly changed the battery which no one even noticed. This is very important for all good professional photographers to be able to do, as it emphasis your professionalism. (Handle the situation calmly and efficiently).

Hamilton Guest House Food

After the gift opening and the heartfelt thank-you, all sat down for breakfast. We were also invited to enjoy the breakfast. The breakfast had an excellent presentation to it and tasted delicious.

Hamilton Guest House Grounds

After the tasty meal, we went outside into the grounds to take some group photos and a portrait photo of Bernadette, the gardens at the Hamilton Guest House really provided for some lovely scenes.

Thereafter all went back inside to have some tea and cake.

We would love to be invited back to this venue for other type of events. It will be a great privilege to capture this venue multiple times from different perspectives.
